Broom House Terms and Conditions
Thank you for choosing to book here at Broom House Guest House and Cottages. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Price
The price includes accommodation plus any board indicated. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, telephone drinks etc are additional. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, cheque with banker’s card, debit cards, credit cards
Pets
Pets are not permitted here at Broom House Guest House, but well behaved pets are permitted BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT in our Self Catering cottages
Payments-Cottages
For any cottages booked more than two calendar months prior to the start of the rental period you shall pay a deposit of one half of the total price when booking. You must then pay the remaining payment at least two calendar months prior to the start of the rental period. For any cottages booked less than two calendar months prior to the start of the rental period you must pay the full price when booking.
Cottage Cancellation
If you have to cancel your cottage you must let us know in writing as soon as possible. On receipt of such notice we will use reasonable endeavours to re-let the cottage. If we are successful we will refund you your money (or part if we are only able to re-let the cottage for part of your rental period) less £100.00 per booking for our administration costs. If we are not able to re-let the cottage, you will be liable to pay 100% of the total price.For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Payment Guest Accommodation
A deposit of 100% of the total cost of the first night booking is required. This is non refundable.
Cancellation Guest Accommodation
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. Cancellations made for Bed and Breakfast accommodation in excess of 3 days before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time (3 days), or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling would be in breach of this policy & the cost of the entire reservation will be charged if we are unable to re-let the room.
Non – availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund
Arrival
You are welcome to arrive here at Broom House anytime after 2pm on your day of arrival. Please confirm approx arrival time when making a booking, or at least 1 week prior to arrival, this is helpful please. Keys for cottages should be collected from Broom House.
Departure
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by approx 10a.m on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the bed and breakfast accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure AS WELL AS PLEASE REMEMBERING TO HAND IN YOUR KEYS!!!
Damages and Breakages
Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. We endeavour to provide a very high standard of furnishings & cleanliness in all our rooms and cottages and ask for your respect and consideration of our efforts towards your comfort. Please report any accidents, as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge, if additional cleaning is required to furnishings/bedding etc, if you did not report this.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment
